Members
The Social Advisory Council is composed of
1. four respresentatives of insured persons
2. four respresentatives of employers
3. one representative of the Deutsche Bundesbank
4. three representatives from economic and social science faculties
The Social Advisory Council´s members are nominated by the organisation they are to represent, the academic representatives are nominated by the Federal Government after consultation with the German Rector´s Conference, and are appointed by the Federal Government for a period of four years.
The chair of the Social Advisory Council is elected by its members for a period of two years.
